Lasagne - Little Jim's method
Boulognese Sauce 1. 1lb Mince. 2. Chopped onion. 3. 4oz of mushrooms. 4. Grated carrot. 5. Tin of tomatoes. 6. Half pint of stock. 7. Squirt of tomato sauce. 8. Or cheat and use bottled sauce with the mushrooms and carrot added. Spaghetti boiled with pasta cube or if you want to make lasagne you will need; White sauce. You buy a packet or a bottle or make it. 1.oz of marg 1oz of cornflour. Half pint of milk.
Melt marg in small saucepan, add cornflour and cook gently. Add the milk slowly mix hard between each small addition of milk. When it is all added heat to boiling stirring all the time or it will go lumpy. If it does you can rub it through a sieve. David always makes it like custard, using oil instead of marg. You can make it in the microwave, but you must have a large plastic jug or it will go everywhere. I'm not sure of the times, probably 30 seconds at a time, you would have to experiment. If you use dried milk you can add all the dried ingredients into a large jug, add a little cold water to mix add 1 tablespoon oil, then add boiling water. You can then pop it into the microwave for 1 minute or so. Add grated cheese to the sauce-4oz. Put a layer of meat, some sheets of lasagne pasta over that, then a layer of cheese sauce. Keep going until it's all used up. Finish off with a bit more grated cheese, cook in a moderate oven for about 45 mins.
