Cloud 9 Biscuits

A quick ticket to chocolate heaven from RAH.

Ingredients:

• 2oz butter
• 7oz [200g] plain chocolate ... has to be good quality, like Bournville, or Fair Trade Mayan Gold. Cooking chocolate tastes like soap]
• 3 tbsp golden syrup
• 8oz suggestive(!) biscuits
• mixed spice (optional)
• 200g/6oz raisins/sultanas (optional)

Instructions:

Melt everything except the bickies together. Put those in a plastic bag and smash to a mangled mess of crumbs using a rolling pin, empty beer bottle or whatever is to hand. Stir the crushed biscuits into the goo. Press it into a tin. Cut into squares when cool. If you are a head-achy sort of person I have it on good authority that this is less "heady" if you stir in a handful of sultanas. But since I don't like sultanas, and don't suffer from migraines, I never do.
